Yes. Houses are gender specific. A variety of housing options are available from shared apartments with as little as two residents, larger apartments with 6 residents, duplexes with up to 8 residents, single family homes with 10 residents and the Rising Sun Inn which offers the largest group, including 8 private rooms. Male facilities are offered in Boise, Caldwell, Lewiston, Twin Falls and Idaho Falls. Female facilities are offered in Boise, Caldwell, Lewiston, and Pocatello.

The first month guest fee is $560, which includes a processing fee. Monthly, Bi-Weekly, and Weekly rates are $510.00, $260.00, and $135.00.  Residents who pay late are required to pay a $25.00 late fee.

Yes, except for the 1st month. Beginning the second month residents can chose to pay weekly, bi-weekly or on their pay periods.

Payments can be made on-line by visiting www.risingsunsoberliving.com, in person at the main office between 8-4pm M-F, or mailed to Rising Sun at the address above. We do not accept personal checks. If you do not have funds for your first month guest fee, ask your case manager if you qualify for Transitional Funding, or contact BPA for eligibility 800-922-3406.

No. However, if you have a sex offense and plan on paroling to Nampa/Caldwell/Lewiston/Idaho Falls area you may apply to our Riverstone Recovery program by calling 208-985-0052. Riverstone applications can be found on Rising Sun’s website at www.risingsunsoberliving.com.

No, but we are a spiritual program that believes faith is a personal choice. Our program is based on the principals of Alcoholics/Narcotics Anonymous. We firmly believe residents should find a recovery program or church that works best for them.

No. Cleaning supplies, laundry soap, and certain paper products are provided. Random drug testing and breathalyzing are also included, however; if a relapse occurs the resident is responsible cost of a drug test ($20) in order to return, or they can test at a lab and provide a copy of the results.

Residents are typically placed on a (3) day standout (a period of time when you are not allowed to be in the house). Before returning you must be able to test negative on a drug test and have reported your relapse to probation and parole office.

Most all rooms are shared with 2 residents.

Many residents will network with others in housing in order to carpool to work together. Others will access our jobs list with over 100 felon friendly businesses and their links to apply on-line.

Yes. All locations are close to markets, businesses, city bus, and community services.

Yes. After living at Rising Sun for six months with no relapses and in compliance with probation and parole you qualify for a private apartment. Call the main office to be placed on our wait list.
